Challenge

Chicken manure composting requires large amounts of sunlight to dry the manure and reduce its volume. However, traditional open drying is vulnerable to rain and weather changes.

Solution

Transparent polycarbonate (PC) panels were recommended due to:

• High impact resistance
• Excellent light transmission
• UV protection and weather durability

However, the environment releases acidic gases, so the installation required proper ventilation to prevent chemical reactions that could damage the panels.

Results

The high light transmission allowed:

• Faster drying of manure
• Simplified composting operations
• Protection from sudden rain or weather changes
