Challenge

Traditional shade nets used for crop protection were frequently damaged by typhoons. Farmers wanted a more durable material.

Solution

Instead of transparent panels, Light Diffusion PC Corrugated Sheets were recommended based on successful results from the vanilla project.

Additional benefits include:

• Reduced coexistence of fungi, bacteria, and pests

The panels have an estimated lifespan of at least 10 years under suitable conditions.

Results

After building a test greenhouse:

• Pest damage was significantly reduced
